BEST ENGLISH STUDENTS (2021/2022)

As has become usual with my students, on the last day of the school year, we hold an AWARDS CEREMONY for all students and especially for those students who have earned the most stickers during the three terms. How do I get the stickers? It is always explained at the beginning of the school year with all the rules to follow. Those students who score between 9 and 10 points in each test get a sticker. At the end of the year, the students count all the stickers they have collected and three different prizes are given to the students who have won the most stickers.

The ceremony took place in our classroom right in front of our large poster displaying pictures of the activities and the best handmade ENGLISH letters made by seven students.

Some awards, diplomas, medals and handcrafted gifts in recognition of their hard work were given to  the best students this year:

Apart from these three awarded students, a very special mention must be made to our student, Carlos García, for all his hard work during the year with the video editions. Of course, he also deserved a special gift.

Carlos García

I could not end this ceremony without giving the whole class a very special gift:

As most of them were already enjoying their summer holidays, a small group that had to make some presentations gave me a big surprise two days later. I was speechless, it was really a great detail what I received. The presents are already in a very special place in my studio.

I can only say: THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GIVEN ME DURING THIS SCHOOL YEAR, a difficult year that has been more bearable with you. It is worth being a teacher with students like you.

BILINGUAL SECTION DAY 15/06/2022

This year we celebrated Bilingual Section Day on June 15 with our ESO students. We started at 8:30 with a speech by the coordinator, Gloria Rodriguez.

Before showing photos and videos of this event, I must say that I am very proud of my group, 2ºESO A/B for their high participation in the celebration.

To begin with, we watched a video about TV programs, an excellent team work of my students directed by Carlos García and Alejandro Bazán, assistant director. Once again, Carlos has shown us his skills in video editing.

Then 8 students of this group performed a choreography to the music of Grease and Mamma Mia. Thanks to their talent and imagination, we enjoyed their amazing performance.

After a short break, we started our quiz contest for different levels of the subjects taught in the Bilingual Section. The teachers prepared a battery of questions with four possible answers.  First, the rules of the quiz were read out.

Through a presentation with the questions of the different levels, each team tried to press the button as fast as possible to earn points that our PE teacher was scoring.

Four teams participated in each level.  In 2ºESO the questions were about English, Social Sciences and Physical Education.

Once the contest was over, two groups of 3ºESO participated with two acrosports choreographies prepared in their Physical Education classes. Once again, the students exhibited their excellent teamwork achieving amazing performances:

We ended our day with the awarding of prizes to the different winning teams. Each member of the winning team was presented with a personalised backpack for the occasion.

This is the winning 2º ESO team:

Thanks to all those who have made possible the celebration of this day in the 2021/22 academic year.

Most of the ESO 2 students belong to the bilingual section and, as mentioned above, they achieve two of the top three positions at this level.
