St. Patick's Day 17th March

To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Charlie and I spent a lesson explaining to the students the origin of this celebration and other stories related to it. Some videos were shown to the students and they enjoyed learning a little bit more about St. Patrick, the leprechaun and dancing a rap:

Another activity was to learn new words that had appeared in the videos by means of the following photocopy:

To end the class, each student was given two gifts: a homemade bookmark and a  magnet:

Speaking Task Second Term: a story

The Speaking task for the second term was the production of a video, a story was invented by the pupils and they recorded and edited their videos themselves. Although we all know recording and editing a video take some time, this type of activity gives the students the opportunity to learn how to work in teams, also develop their creativity and above all, they have a great time. The good thing is that our students improve their speaking and technological skills. In addition to the great work done by all of them, the results were excellent.

Students were also asked to grade their classmates'  work and choose the best videos:

Alejandro, Camilo, Víctor & Carlos

Irene, Ángela, Carmen & Moisés
