POTLUCK for our English assistant: Charlie

After three years without celebrating a POTLUCK with my students, last 27th May we organised a special potluck to say goodbye to our beloved English language assistant, Charlie.

But what is a potluck? It is a get together where you have to bring food or drink and share it with everyone else. For this reason, some of the synonyms of potluck are "bring and share", "shared lunch" or "dish to pass". The tradition says that each dish has to be big enough to be shared among all the participants.

The potluck was a great success. It showcased some of the traditional dishes from Spain, as you can see in the video edited to show this great event. My contribution to the potluck was a biscuit cake with Charlie's face on it.

Another gift for Charlie was a postcard with dedications in English from the students and the teachers Marta and Óscar. I also made a pin for all participants as a souvenir of this occasion.

I would like to thank all the students for contributing with a dish or a drink. Also  special thanks to the following teachers: Óscar, José Manuel, Juan, Dolores and Encarna for helping out with the preparations.

As always, we had a delicious time together!

ENGLISH CAMP: Doñana Huelva 2022

After two years of pandemic, without enjoying activities or school trips, this year in May our 2nd and 3rd ESO students of the Bilingual English Section have been able to enjoy some fantastic days in Huelva with their teachers Óscar Romero (Physical Education), Estrella Sequeda (English) and Marta Fernández (English).

It has been four fabulous days full of a variety of activities, especially on the beach, as well as a 4 x 4 tour through the Doñana National Park. This was the schedule of the days we were there:

For the three assistant teachers, it was the first time that we enjoyed a bilingual camp. All three of us agree that it has been a very special experience thanks, in large part, to the great behaviour of all the students. Without a doubt, we would do it again and of course with the same students.

I will display some photos of each day below:
