Speaking Task Second Term: a story

The Speaking task for the second term was the production of a video, a story was invented by the pupils and they recorded and edited their videos themselves. Although we all know recording and editing a video take some time, this type of activity gives the students the opportunity to learn how to work in teams, also develop their creativity and above all, they have a great time. The good thing is that our students improve their speaking and technological skills. In addition to the great work done by all of them, the results were excellent.

Students were also asked to grade their classmates'  work and choose the best videos:

Alejandro, Camilo, Víctor & Carlos

Irene, Ángela, Carmen & Moisés

In our last class with Charlie, he showed us several sample poems to write to our friends for Valentine's Day. From all of them, an acrostic poem was chosen for a new project.

To carry out the project, the students had to follow the instructions given by the teacher. Taking into account the following requirements:

  • Size: half of an A4 sheet.
  • Material: cardboard
  • Follow Charlie's instructions on how to write an acrostic poem:
  • Use the examples given as models:

Each student received a poem written by their teacher and a bag of delicious hearts:

All projects were reviewed by a jury and the two best projects that fulfilled all the requirements were chosen:

Desi wrote the poem to Marta

Claudia wrote the poem to Victor

All the poems were recorded in this video:
