More examples of compositions written by the students

A new and the last term started on 25 March. Before the Easter Holidays,  my students took an exam on L/R/W. The last model of writing studied by my First Bachillerato students is the one called A for and against essay. The students were taught how to write this type following  these instructions:

In the exam they were asked to choose:

Before the exam, they were given some examples but I believe that pupils also learn from examples set by their own classmates. Here are two more of each option:

Students from the Bilingual Section (2ºB) were asked to do the following:

And these are the two examples chosen as a model:

Second Term Speaking: A STORY

During the second term, students in groups recorded a video about a story. They had to invent a story and  record it. Although we all know recording and editing a video take some time, this type of activity gives the students the opportunity to learn how to work in teams, also develop their creativity and above all, they have a great time. The good thing is that our students improve their speaking and technological skills.

Students were also asked to grade their classmates'  work and choose the best videos.

EASTER EGG CONTEST

As Holy Week approaches, an Easter Egg Contest has been organized for the whole Educational Comunity by the Department of Complementary Extra-curricular Activities.

The contest has two different categories:

                                             - 3D Easter Eggs.

                                             - Flat Easter eggs

All the eggs have been exhibited in the school foyer:

And a video has also been edited for a better view of the work:

I would like to point out that I feel very proud of all my students, 2ªBilingual Section and 1ºBC/BH. It is true that some extra points have been offered to them in order to take part in the contest. They also know very well that it is the best way to make their English teacher happy. Due to their high participation, I decided to organized a MINI CONTEST ONLY for all my students with a prize for the best one in each category.

Here are the links to vote your two favourites in the different categories:
