One of the first activity carried out by the English teachers in our new eTwinning project was to teach their students how to write a personal profile. This content appears in unit 4 of their student’s book, so we thought that it would be a good idea to teach them the vocabulary and the structure of a profile that they have to create for a real purpose. In that case, the final product was to upload it to the eTwinning page so that they can introduce themselves to their Irish colleagues.
Some lessons were used to explain the structure of a good profile and to give them vocabulary related to the appearance as well as the order of the adjectives. They had also to talk about their hobbies and interests. They wrote a draft in their notebooks and, then, they logged into the eTwinning platform, uploaded a picture of themselves and, finally, they wrote their profile.
